What a wonderful place to stay

If I had to single out a favourite lodging among the many hotels, lodges and B&Bs on our month-long road trip through New Zealand, this would be it. What a wonderful place to stay. Elegant lodge in a beautiful surrounding on Lake Rotorua. Spacious bedroom, sitting room and bathroom in a beautiful and warm style. Woodlined dining room serving a very good evening meal with a fine choice of New Zealand wines. Breakfast is taken in a sunny room next to the kitchen, the friendly staff helping to get your day off to a perfect start. If it weren't for the distance, I'd go back to On the Point tomorrow..

The Best of New Zealand

This was the best place we stayed in throughout our month long visit to New Zealand. Nothing else came close to the standard of accommodation at The Point. The quality of the food was first class and the staff were very attentive and helpful. We could not fault anything. The room we had was very spacious and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Fabulous stay.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon. The whole experience was wonderful, a warm welcome, spacious suite with fantastic views and excellent service from the staff. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast. We also enjoyed seeing the animals on site and walking around the grounds. I can’t possibly see that there could be a better place to stay in Rotorua.

A fantastic boutique hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of a long trip. It was undoubtedly the best place we stayed in for the whole trip. Stunning lakeside location beautiful and large rooms and a wonderful breakfast and excellent dinner. Staff were welcoming and friendly but low key. Lots of birds in the grounds and delightful miniature horses, donkeys and sheep in the gardens and the hotel provides for you to feed them. No smell from the geysers yet only a 10 minute drive to Rotorua. Highly recommended

Enjoying NZ

We had lodge number 8 & it was lovely. The jacuzzi on the deck which was partially glassed in was amazing & we enjoyed it each night. It was already hot & waiting for us to use. The bed, shower & lounge room were all very comfortable. The view was great & we loved that we could feed the sheep, donkeys & miniature horses. Breakfast was lovely & the staff very friendly & helpful.

Wow! Just Wow!

Wow! What a special place. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake & was spacious & luxurious. The gardens are lovingly tended, and the onsite lawn mowers (sheep, donkeys, ponies) were very tame. We watched a member of staff give a small child carrots to go to feed them which was a nice touch. Breakfast had lovely touches, comb honey is a rarity so great to have that on offer. Even my porridge had beautiful flowers on it. We had an excellent dinner with them too. It was a really special way to end our retirement trip to NZ. Thank you!

Personalized Perfection!

We were welcomed from arrival, and looked after throughout our stay. The room was exquisite, lots of attention to little details, and beautifully maintained. The location is lovely, and there is a serenity about the place that is very relaxing and special. The breakfast was really good, with lots of choice, and great service. The dinners were lovely with good choices, and the dining area quiet with personalized service.

Wonderful Wedding Experience

Thank you for the most wonderful wedding experience. The rooms, service and pampering were amazing and it was the best wedding and reception venue. Your chapel is such a beautiful and intimate venue. The food and staff were five-star plus. A luxury weekend we will all treasure.

Honeymoon Haven

The best place to stay in New Zealand, hands down. We had a lovely little Chateau for our honeymoon vacation and it was just perfect. Bonus points for the horseys and donkeys that come every morning to say hello.
